A Caballo Al Paramo

A couple of weeks ago I went horseback riding with a cousin and his wife nearby his farm in Yaruqui, Ecuador. We rode for almost 7 hours, as far as we could up the mountain to what is known as "el paramo". El paramo is the highest portion of a mountain, where there isn't much vegetation and the cold prevails... It was a beautiful trip, we didn't actually make it to the summit, because nightfall was nearby, and riding down the mountain for more than three hours in pitch black darkness would have been quite difficult.

Anyway, here is a link to an album of about 50 out of the over 400 pictures I took that day.
